The Department qualifies its students to obtain a high degree of Bachelor (Master) in the following specialties of the Department:

• Division of Environmental Sciences.
• Environmental engineering division.

The department should be a scientific beacon in advanced environmental sciences with an outstanding reference to enrich knowledge, research and scientific consultations to achieve the principles of sustainable development continuity.

The Department seeks to establish and prepare expertise on scientific and technical bases, aware of environmental issues and capable of continuous scientific research to find successful solutions to environmental problems resulting from the growth of population activity to remedy their dangers and avoid their effects.

• Localization of the Graduate Studies Program in the field of environmental sciences through the qualification of students studying to continue the pursuit of obtaining a high and accurate Bachelor's degree.
• The number of scientific cadres with high academic competence qualifies them to carry out Advanced Environmental Research tasks and enroll in educational institutions and research centers.
• Providing the community with scientifically and technically qualified expertise to conduct research, survey studies, provide consultations related to environmental issues in various fields and development activities and find appropriate solutions to them.
• To promote environmental studies and research to keep abreast of technical developments and modern concepts in development issues with economic, social and environmental dimensions.
